When I read or heard the news about the Russian troops on the Ukraine border at the beginning of 2022 and Russia saying the West was wrong about Russia planning to invade Ukraine I expected Russia to make a fool of the West by just not doing that. So when I realized that Vladimir Putin had actually been lying, making a fool of himself in my opinion, I thought he had made a mistake. And maybe he did, but after researching more and more about the Ukrainian conflict I am not so sure anymore that he was wrong. And I can forgive his lie, as it seems that was just war tactics.
And especially the last few days I realize more and more that Russia/Putin has been drawn into this ‘war’, this ‘special operation’. And that the main cause was the West and after what I just found, even Ukraine itself.
And why the Ukraine conflict in this site? Well, it’s another sample of where Western democracies don’t seem to do what the people want. Meaning democracy, freedom is at stake.
And yes, it is my belief that the disrespect for Russia/Putin is a big part of why Putin started this war, pushed this war. And respect is what this site is all about. And not respecting someone may give us unimaginable results, as Ukraine is kind of being destroyed and of course also the Russian army suffered a lot of losses, lost a lot of people. And the rest of the world is suffering because of the sanctions and many people may even die because of the disturbed food supply for especially Africa.
I found a very interesting article about the Ukraine/Russian crisis: Atlantic Belief. It describes many of the things I am slowly discovering about the background of the “Military Operation”. Imagine, this article was (also) published in 2014, including prediction of this war.
